<P> 小島文美（Ayami Kojima），日本東京人氏，日本當代著名的女性插畫師，長期活躍在小說、漫畫、遊戲界，以繪製插畫為契機，勾勒出過無數美麗、充滿誘惑的奇異世界圖，並且作品在本國以及海外都享譽知名。她的代表作是《惡魔城》系列插畫、設定。<BR> 欣賞過小島文美的作品後，經常會感覺到她筆下構築的世界能將插圖中的內涵沁入人心底的功力。或恐怖、或甜美、或妖異、或冷酷……面對畫面，欣賞者首先感到的是一剎那被牢牢的吸引，然後仔細屏息凝望又絕對能使人陶醉在一種直觀而真實的世界中，那裏包含著華美、幻想、恐懼、死亡、七情、六欲等等豐富的底蘊，仿佛面對這幅畫我們看到了生命的由青春到蒼老的整個過程，還有那被定格的瞬間悸動。<BR> 提到小島筆下最著名的作品莫過於從遊戲界一直到動漫界都極具人氣的作品《惡魔城》系列。《惡魔城》最早是從任天堂FC時代的一款遊戲，由著名的日本遊戲廠商KONAMI所開發。其文化背景是源自東歐古老的“吸血鬼之王德拉庫拉”傳說，它經過“遊戲”獨特的新媒介概念加工再創作後，除了保留舊有的17、18世紀吸血鬼文學觀外，又糅合進了多分支架構藝術體系（包含遊戲的技術性、劇情內容的文學性、古典配樂表現、服飾文化美學等）、現代黑色系恐怖元素等內容。而作為現代藝術一個重要組織部分“繪畫”則為該系列遊戲的成型推廣、增加人文價值提供了重要的表現手法。小島文美最早就是因參與了《惡魔城》遊戲的開發而聞名的。<BR> 《惡魔城》系列至今都是日本遊戲界乃至插畫界的一個“高度”，值得一提的是小島文美在《惡魔城》插畫表現上營造出的中世紀歐洲巴洛克主義的畫風，該種日式與西洋結合的風格至今無論在日本國內、還是海外都佔有重要一席，其表現主義的主要精髓是“華麗而厚重、世界觀具有一定的壓抑性，畫面背景蘊于故事情節中某個特定的環境中”。所以即使在燈光明亮的美術館內欣賞《惡魔城》中那位令人望而生畏的羅馬尼亞吸血貴族德拉庫拉時依然會感到歷史仿佛能重演，我們正在看著歷史保留下來的痕跡，那黑暗中點滴的華美與血腥的陰澀滲透於心的觸覺不禁而來。<BR> 除此以外，該系列插畫各種人物服飾、道具的繪製也極為細膩、真實。《惡魔城》的最新作遊戲是2002年6月登陸在任天堂GBA版的ARPG遊戲《惡魔城∼白夜協奏曲》（注1），廠方KANAMI依然邀來小島文美為該作繪製插圖。這一次以紅與灰白色的基調保持了一貫《惡魔城》中人物所特有的貴族氣息，同時這次對於“血腥”的表現有所保留增加了更多白色與黃色間用，造就了更具古典人文的美麗，同時服飾也繼承了一貫的高貴氣質。很快，《惡魔城∼白夜協奏曲》遊戲一經推出即獲該款遊戲Fans的熱烈追捧。<BR> 算起來，小島文美正式出道的時間約莫是80年代中後期，成名于90年代初，應該說小島文美是日本插畫界一位很有資歷的作者。早期的小島因陸續為各個出版社的文庫作品（小說居多）繪製封面、扉頁而聞名，所以說她是一個再標準不過的職業插畫師了。<BR> 曾經與她合作的許多小說作者也都十分有來頭，年代近一些的象集英社小說文庫作家立原透耶在2001年6月的作品《聞け、魂の祈りを》（注2）就邀請了小島文美來創作小說插畫。與小島長期有合作關係（類似于現在我們稱的“御用、直屬”作者關係）的作者還有鼎鼎大名日本名作家的菊地秀行（注3）、日本SF作家協會會員山藍紫姫子（注4）、井上雅彥（注5）等名作者。<BR> 在上個世紀80年代末，小島文美為日本老牌小說作家菊地秀行一系列以“妖魔”為名的系列小說集繪製了數量不扉的插圖和扉頁，例如菊地秀行的《妖魔淫獄》系列（89年）、《妖魔淫殿》系列（93年）、《妖魔姫》系列（94年∼99年）、《妖魔王》系列（2000年∼2001年）、《妖魔城》系列（2001年），此外還有1998年菊地的小說《魔人》系列和其它幾部獨立小說的插畫也是出自小島精湛的手筆之下。<BR> 在這裡特別要提到作家菊地秀行是因為他是日本一位能將另類主義融合進大眾通俗欣賞中去的文學大師，作品在日本以外的歐洲、美國、港臺地區十分受歡迎。而對於中國動漫迷來說，我們第一次聽到他的名字主要是他曾與史克威爾《最終幻想》系列遊戲的人設師天野喜孝合作過《吸血鬼獵人D》小說的事件（天野喜孝是菊地秀行眾多小說集中一套“吸血鬼”系列的插畫師，《吸血鬼獵人D》正是該系列中的一部作品）。《吸血鬼獵人D》以後在2001年4月21日公開了劇場電影，人設依然是天野喜孝的造型，導演則是在日本、海外與押井守、大友克洋同等地位的“先鋒導演” 川尻善昭（注6）。<BR> 除了涉足小說界以外，小島也參與了不少遊戲作品的創作、設計，撇開《惡魔城》系列外，早年著名的歷史類遊戲軟件開發廠商KOEI（光榮）製作的《傭兵傳》就邀請她擔綱美術設計並獲得好評，後來KOEI（光榮）在2000年前後推出的對應PS與個人PC的遊戲《維新の嵐∼幕末志士傳》（該款遊戲的聲優是動漫愛好者比較熟悉的綠川光、置鮎龍太郎等人）又再次邀請小島文美執筆其中的人物造型、插圖等，依然獲得了良好的業內外歡迎。小島文美與遊戲廠商有關的合作還有為為光榮出品的遊戲、小說《趙雲傳》繪製過插圖。<BR> 另外，象任何一個活躍的自由插畫業者一樣，小島文美也頻頻活躍于日本美術出版社旗下的插畫季刊《彩色王國》、《Comickers》，日本SF作家協會官方權威刊物《SF Japan》以及其它一些漫畫志上。當然，她的主要工作仍然是以繪製插畫為主。同時，一些CD的封面插圖小島也繪製過，只不過數量不如寺田克也之流作者那麼多。象上文所述的女性作家山藍紫姫子女士的小說作品《花夜叉》後來被改編成了Drama CD《花鎮の饗》由東芝EMI出版（該音樂廣播劇中是由已故的日本著名聲優鹽沢兼人先生作為主演的）。這款CD的封面就是由小島文美繪製的。<BR> 同時，在本行業內，小島在一些作品的創作過程中也與韮沢靖（注7）等業界王牌作者結識，並共同發展，以插畫家為主的交際圈已然將小島文美算作了其中中堅的一份子。</P>
<P> 歸結起來，小島氏大部分的作品內容大抵可以分為兩類主題：“幻想係”與“歷史系”。<BR> 而她的作畫風格則是依據這兩類主題的具體需要來創作。<BR> “幻想係”的內容主要是表現吸血鬼、半人半妖世界、形態一類的作品，有別於日本另兩位著名的女性“幻想係”插畫作者小林智美與井又睦實，小島文美的“幻想係”畫風更加妖嬈陰鬱一些，用筆也十分厚重（與後文提到的小島“歷史系”作畫具有一定聯絡即都顯示出一種“年代”的感的筆觸），畫面透露出比較黑暗化的艷麗和冷酷（用她本人的話說就是“世界末日”這樣的氛圍吧），而後兩位則要明朗、亮麗而光澤多了。<BR> 至於，小島文美“歷史系”的一類的作品，則以她的《維新の嵐∼幕末志士傳》與《趙雲傳》為代表而聞名，其主題世界觀莊嚴、肅穆、更是有著某種 “歷史是冷靜而殘酷”的凝重基調。<BR> 最終，這兩種題材所孕育出的“小島主義美學”就是將一切的恐懼、黑暗都渡化成鮮艷的顏色呈現在視覺中，並將這些腐朽的、衰亡的、引誘的、象弗朗肯斯坦（科幻作家雪萊夫人筆下的科學家製造的第一個人工怪物）般的塗抹，那最奢華的一刻，也是其作品主角最後的昇華，無比淒艷……<BR> 既然說到了小島文美作畫的主題則對於其技法不可不再做一番剖析。插畫界中，小島文美的技法是被公認譽為具有“巴洛克”風格的華麗一族，畫面講究神秘、豐滿、妖嬈，有時更是氣勢磅薄。黑暗渾厚。<BR> 以手繪筆致著稱的小島女士慣常用特殊顏料（其實是具有一定難度的高級別作畫用顏料）來創作，比如油畫顏料、丙烯等。這類顏料不同於普通的彩色墨水、水彩、水粉之類的易於運用，如果沒有十分良好的素描功底、顏色掌握技巧是根本無法上手的，此外對於用水調和顏料的技法也有講究，通常這類具有油性的顏料是要調的乾燥一些的，否則無法表現出真實的肌肉、骨架構造以及厚重的力度。<BR> 小島文美常用的幾個丙烯品牌是：Liquitex、TURNER、HOLBEIN等。經過這些顏料創作的畫共同的特點就是厚重的質感十足，有一種“時間在瞬間被定格”的美感。<BR> 用色上小島文美極齊酷愛用朱紅色以及灰金色的顏色搭配，這一點無論在小島早期的作品中，還是在中期比較成熟的作品裏如《惡魔城》（《惡魔城》的創作已經算小島文美創作生涯中期的時候了）都能反復發現其人物造型的發色上，作者通常喜歡用“灰金色”來表現，服飾則以華麗的紅為底色，輔以其它耀眼的顏色來組合。這是兩個十分突出的特徵。<BR> 另外，在閱讀了多次日本刊物上有關圖文記載小島文美的創作插圖的過程時發現，小島有一種十分獨特的“石膏技法”，即用“石膏粉”（術語稱為“造型膏、定型膏”用於固定顏色防止年久顏色脫落或失真）塗抹在最後成稿的作品上（前提是作品用油性顏料創作完成），有時則乾脆在創作過程中直接選用有石膏粉末作為特殊畫材直接作為繪畫過程中的重要步驟（通常是將大量發粉末狀石膏灑在畫布上、或調和在顏料中使用），這樣創作完成的丙烯作品顏色因覆蓋了一層定型粉而不容易乾裂，易於長久保持色彩，由此誕生的作品立體感、質感也都更加厚實而深沉，仿佛是一尊古老的雕塑屹立在欣賞者面前，令人油然激動不已。<BR> 所以一般第一次欣賞小島文美作品的觀眾都會被震一震，發出“好有力度的繪畫啊！真的是手工繪製的嗎？天呢！”如此之類的感嘆。</P>
<P> 或許是因為作者本身的性格始然，綜觀各類報道和資料發覺小島文美似乎並不是個太喜歡拋頭露面的作者，相對而言天野喜孝、村田蓮爾、寺田克也幾乎在哪本動漫雜誌上都能看到發表作品或是接受訪談，印象中僅有兩次有關小島文美“喧囂”的事件，它們分別是2000年7月16∼20日在日本東京有關美術會場舉辦了小島文美自己首個“秘藏作品展示會”，同期在同一地點展出的還有另位著名的動漫遊插畫名家、小島文美業界圈子的好友草彅琢仁先生的作品展出，兩人也同時出場為Fans簽名過。另次是2002年1月12日到1月14日在東京池袋的陽光大廈文化會館2樓展示大廳舉行的規模盛大的“電腦遊戲畫師展Game Art Exhibition”，該展出上小島文美與天野喜孝、井又睦實、小林智美、丹野忍、末彌純、美樹本晴彥等插畫名家的版畫作品都被展示出，這次展出在中國的各大資訊雜誌、網站上也有報道過。<BR> 現在，幾乎在任何一個搜索引擎網站上搜索到無數來自世界各地的在自己的個人簡歷中寫上“小島文美”是自己喜歡的畫家的網頁，還有大量關於小島文美的話題（當然主要還是圍繞著她創作的《惡魔城》插圖）。<BR> 但是迄今為止，作為插畫家的小島文美卻還都沒有屬於自己的公式主頁，也沒有在任何官方大型會社或雜誌網站架設她的專欄。當然，區區一個公式主頁其實對於一個已經成名的名家而言也並不算什麼必須有的事情。不過，作為自由職業者的插畫師小島文美女士確實是令很多漫畫迷們所欣賞的、受到強烈歡迎的一位作者。<BR> 小島文美的畫集至今出版過幾冊甚不明朗，也無從考證，唯一查到的文獻記載有過一冊名為《刃夜》的畫集，個人覺得象小島這樣很早就涉足插畫界的老牌作者應該已經有絕對的資歷來多多將其過去優秀的插圖作品集結起來，象寺田克也一樣來個“全回顧”出版本豪華畫冊，以小島氏作品的質量來說，這是絕對物有所值的事情。不知今後日本哪家出版社會出版小島文美的畫集呢？真是件令人期待的事情。<BR> 今後，相信小島文美老師一定會創作出更多優秀的作品，用那種人類神秘主義觀的作品引領我們進入一個更加神奇的世界中去……</P>

<P>注2：立原透耶（TACHIHARA Touya）1969年2月8日出生，大阪府奈良縣人氏。1991年獲得集英社下半年度讀者大賞獎。他的作品收錄于大量的出版社文庫作品中，例如集英社幻想文庫、コバルト文庫、A-NOVELS、角川文庫等。他個人的趣味是中國太極拳和武術、電腦、車、流浪。他的《聞け、魂の祈りを》這部小說主要描述的是人、妖魔、半妖半人三種生命在世界發展和自身進化中有關針對生命、精神等意義探討的一系列內容，主題深刻、寓意明了，表達出了“天問”這樣對於人類起源、物種紛繁的疑問與感嘆。</P>
<P>注3：菊地秀行，日本著名的小說家，80年代中後期因發表的《妖魔》系列小說而成名。作品題材廣泛並與日本插畫界、動漫界合作廣泛。其作品插圖有多位日本頂級插畫家為其繪製。《妖魔》系列以後還有《吸血鬼獵人》等眾多名作。為他的小說作插畫的作者群中，除了上文提到的小島文美外，還有天野喜孝為其《吸血鬼ハンター“Ｄ”》系列（中譯《吸血鬼獵人D》）十多部小說繪製插圖、末彌純為其《魔界醫師メフィスト》系列與《魔界都市ブルース》系列創作插圖。此外，山田章博（《妖美獸ピエール∼2. 外道記》）、齋藤岬（為其《退魔鎮》系列）、高橋明（為其《癒しびとの傳説》）等日本插畫名家也曾為菊地秀行小說創作過不少經典的畫作。</P>

<P>注5：井上雅彥，1960年東京出生，在明治大學期間因參加了1981年當時的文學短篇小說比賽大會於是脫穎而出。隨後他以青年作家的身份正式涉足日本文學界，其諸多作品多為充滿幻想的長篇以及詭異的短篇作品。他的個人代表作品有：《異形博覽會》、《恐怖經營者人》、《骸骨城》、《鞍子們怪物船團》、《西式住宅的妖魔》、《妖月的航海》、《竹馬男子的犯罪》等。他也曾與包括小島文美、韮沢靖在內的日本諸多知名插畫師共同合作過許多小說志、書籍與插畫的互動。</P>
<P>注6：川尻善昭，在日美共同製作完成的劇場電影《吸血鬼獵人D》中擔任劇本、監督、分鏡三職，是在海外（歐美地區）聲譽很高的一位日本先鋒動畫導演。早年的代表作有：《激光人》、《妖獸都市》、《獸兵衛忍風帖》等，之前也曾為日本當紅少女漫畫團體CLAMP的作品《X》擔任了一部OVA以及最新的TV動畫導演。此外值得一提的是，《妖獸都市》在動畫（原作拍攝是在1987年形式為OVA）之後又被香港電影界翻拍為同名電影，導演為麥大傑、徐克，兩大主角分別是著名的香港兩大天王黎明與張學友，此外獲得過日本電影“影帝”稱號的仲代達矢、港星李嘉欣和李若彤也有在片中演出。該片以後被公認香港電影史上最華麗的特技片之一。而《妖獸都市》的同名電影原聲大碟中也有歌星周華健、張清芳、何超儀的演唱，CD中一首《愛把你給我》更由紅遍全亞洲的日本經典演唱組合Change&Aska中的飛鳥涼（Aska）編曲。</P>
<P>注7：韮沢靖，日本著名的手辦模型設計師，也是日本插畫家首屈一指的王牌作者，同時，他與村田蓮爾、寺田克也、桂正和、安倍吉俊、衣谷遊、沙村廣明、空山基、田島昭宇等一批實力作者也十分相熟。後來震驚業界之集大成的實驗畫集《Bitch Life─Illustration File─》也是由他始作踴的。而他與小島文美的交流則是從共同為系列小說志《異形コレクション∼歸還》創作眾多插畫而建立起來的。</P></td>
