Renmin Park officially became subject to management based on functions on January 28, 2008. Southern and northern zones result from the separation of the park using White Stone Lion as the central line. The northern zone is for rest where no dancing and singing of any type are allowed. The southern side is for dancing, singing and opera. The management office is located on the east of the southern zone. Two fixed acoustics zones are installed at the eastern and western square. Power and acoustic equipments are available at no cost and visitors are not allowed to enter the park with any type of acoustic equipment.

Last November, a survey conducted by local authorities of Yuexiu District showed that management and security problems existed at Renmin Park. The major complaint was that noise from the park made a bad impact on neighboring citizens as well as on the public service units. Policies related to Management Regulations of Renmin Park and Management Regulations of Acoustics Activities in Renmin Park were mapped out by officials of Yuexiu District and a 30-day notice to solicit public opinion was posted at major entrances and exits of Renmin Park and in selected regions within the park. During publication period, the park management center checked out the activities held by groups of Renmin Park, briefed these groups on the management regulations and heard their opinions.
