The foundation laying ceremony of a new five-star hotel project-Hua Sha Ming Hui, was held yesterday afternoon (April 1). The real estate project, operated by Guangdong Xinhua Property Company and Guangdong China Travel International Group, will be completed before 2010 Guangzhou Asian Game.
˘D5 Hundred Million Invested
Hua Sha Ming Hui Hotel will be located on the east of Haizhu Square, lying at the cross where Metro line 2 and line 6 meet.˘D5 hundred million will be invested in the project. Covering 4,700 sqm, this new 5-star hotel will combine the Huasha Hotel (a 4-star one), and become the sole ˇ§jointedˇ¨ hotel in Guangzhou.
A 22-storey commercial apartment building with 400 rooms will be put into use after the project is finished.
20 five-star Hotels in GZ
Before 2010 Asian Game, there will be about 20 five-star hotels and 60 four-star hotels in Guangzhou. These booming hotels may face a more fierce competition in Guangzhou in the next 2 or 3 years.
