Sources from the press conference for Tea Expo Guangzhou 2008 announced that the 9th session of the event will be held at Pazhou Complex between May 16th and May 19th, 2008 and, as of 2008, the tea expo will be held twice a year, in May and November respectively.

According to Huang Haobo, an official in charge of the secretariat of the organizing committee, instead of only one session a year held in autumn, the tea expo will be held in spring and autumn as of the ninth session. He said that spring is a perfect time for tea producers to promote their latest products, therefore the tea expo held in spring will provide them a platform to look for purchasers. Additionally, the 9th and 10th exhibition halls in Pazhou Complex will be the regular venue being highly convenient for exhibitors to arrange their exhibitions.  

Huang also said that a series of activities would be organized during the ninth session, including tea tastings, tea competitions, Weiqi and Chinese Chess performances and the first competition of package design for Tea Commodities.

The price for exhititors who wish to participate in the tea expo is RMB 4,800 per booth and USD 900 for exhibitors from foreign countries.
