Located in Zhujiang Park, the North American garden with Canadian characteristics covers ten thousand square meters. All the architectures in the garden are made of about 130 cubic meters of wood produced in British Columbia. The wood is treated to be anti-insect and antisepsis and, if well maintained, can last for about one century.
It is the first cooperative project between the Bureau of Urban Utilities and Landscaping of Guangzhou Municipality and the Ministry of Forests of British Columbia in Canada to honor the friendship between the two provinces as well as to celebrate the good relations between Guangzhou and Vancouver.
The garden is open free-of-charge to any visitor who holds an entrance ticket to Zhujiang Park (RMB5 per person).
