Gia-Han Thai: In summary, this tour was excellent. The winter camp enabled me to see China and experience the life of the locals. I thoroughly enjoyed what I saw and would also like to see more of the real China. I really liked the Program directors Harry and Leila because they were young, they made everything easier for us. I appreciate how helpful our program directors were. The tour has changed my perception of China. I had not realized what a beautiful, prosperous China has becomeĦAin particular Guangzhou.
I think this tour has made me realize the amount of opportunities that exist here, yet at the same time I have also seen the poverty, and the inequalities that are so great. Finally,I like to thank Guangdong Overseas Chinese Affairs Office for providing the opportunity for Australian Chinese like myself to experience China in a way that can not be done if I have traveled individually. Thank you.
Sarah Han: The last two weeks gone by have been an eye-opener for me. It was good to see the development of China-especially Guangzhou, since it is the most thriving. I have begun to consider future aspirations to come here to work or live. Of course this is a long way off, but this program has given me an insight into the possibility. Having said that, I still would have liked to see the varying degrees of living standards and way of life in China, to see how cultural customs vary or change. Meeting the students was a really good part of the program. It was beneficial for both the students and us. I really don't have negative things to say about the program. We were taken care of very well which has made the tour very warm and friendly. Thank you, Leila and Harry, you were great! Thanks for everything!
