Chinanews, Xi'an, November 6 – Every year, China invites 200 thousand experts from other countries and 150,000 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, to work in the Chinese mainland Meanwhile, China sends more than 40,000 technicians and managers to study overseas every year.

The information was released by Ji Yongshi, the director of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, at the Senior Forum of Sino-Australian Agricultural Cooperation Week.

With economic globalization and the booming of knowledge-based economy, it is wise for China to invest much effort on scientific research and recruitment of talents. By now, China has established long-term cooperation with 370 NGOs, government departments, colleges and research institutes of more than 50 countries and regions.

Take Australia as an example. Every year, more than 500 Australian experts come to work in China. Since 1991, 11 of them have been honored with “Friendship Award” by the Chinese government. More than 400 Chinese technicians and managers go to study there every year, too.

In the foreseeable future, there will be more foreign experts working in China, bringing in both advanced technology and precious experience.
