The First Media Service and Operation Panel Meeting for the 16th Asian Games has been held in Guangzhou. 18 people were invited by the organizer to serve as honorary advisors and advisors for the group. They were media operation experts of the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee, News Units stationed in Guangzhou and the people responsible for sports in all major news presses in Guangzhou.

The 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games is expected to attract nearly ten thousand news reporters from home and abroad for coverage of the 42 sports events. Currently the Media Village of the Guangzhou Asian Games Town, International Broadcast Center and the Main Media Center are under construction. Media service is also left to the organizing committee. Given the success of the media service pinpoints the success of the games and media is the information broadcaster as well as the final judge of the games, how to treat media and offer quality services and facilities to the media has become the topic of the meeting.

Ren Tianhua, Deputy Director of the Broadcasting TV and Media Service Department signed responsibility papers with and issued letters of appointment to the members of the advisers¡¦ group on behalf of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee. Participants also included the people responsible for different functions of the venues including completion, technology, security and publicity.
