南方網(www.southcn.com)是在中共廣東省委領導下，由省委宣傳部組建管理的廣東省重點新聞網站，也是國務院新聞辦公室確定的全國十家大型新聞網站之一。南方網依託南方日報報業集團，聯合羊城晚報報業集團、廣東省廣播電影電視局、廣東省新聞出版局、廣東省新聞出版集團公司等省內新聞、出版、文化、社科單位共同出資建設。網站于2001年12月13日正式開通。
南方網提供中英兩個語種信息服務，目前日更新新聞量近2000條。開設新聞、南粵、國際、港澳臺、社會、財經、體育、娛樂、IT、教育、人才、房產、旅遊、汽車、女性、動漫、社區和英文等多個新聞和信息資訊頻道。南方網全面整合廣東各地新聞信息資源，著力建設南粵新聞頻道和“廣東地市媒體網上平臺”，鍛造專業強勢新聞網站的特色品牌優勢。南方網的網民包括海外關心廣東社會經濟發展的人士，在國內遍佈廣東、北京、上海等經濟發達的大中城市。南方網已為國內外網民認識、了解廣東的最快捷途徑。
𨪜𨪜在今後的發展中，南方網將並不斷充實網站的服務功能，探索網站內容的多媒體表現形式，把南方網建成“華南第一、國內一流、世界知名”的綜合性新聞網站。

website jointly established by the Nanfang Daily Group,
the Yangcheng Evening News Group, the Guangdong Broadcast
Bureau, the Guangdong News & Publishing Bureau and
the Guangdong Publishing Group.
Launched on December 13, 2001, SouthCN.com provides
information services in both Chinese and English. Our
information services range from Guangdong news, international
news, domestic news, news on Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan,
to finance, sports, entertainment, IT, education, career,
property, travel, auto, women, cartoon, e-community
and English news. While developing "the Guangdong
News" as the flagship channel, we will establish
"an online platform for all the city-level media
in Guangdong."
